Upcoming Exhibitions

We are excited to announce that the NASA Science Archive has been chosen to host the traveling exhibition, “Marie Curie: A Dedicated Life.” The exhibition will include photographs, archival material, and items from the laboratory of one of the most distinguished scientists of our time.

The exhibition will open on February 17th, 2010, and will run through August 15th, 2010.

Field Trips

The NASA Science Archive is available to host field trips on weekday mornings from 9 to noon. Please give advance notice of two weeks prior to bringing a school group to the archive. In addition, please provide the number of students, their grade levels, and any food allergies or special requirements they might have.

Tour guides will be happy to escort your students through the archive. Please allow three hours for a complete tour. At the end of your visit, students may either have lunch in the cafeteria or picnic on the grounds.

Lecture Series

The NASA Science Archive is pleased to announce four new collections:

  • Space: The Final Frontier
  • Exploration of Flight
  • Endangered Habitats
  • Profiles of Women Scientists

In celebration of the addition of these collections, the Archive will be hosting a lecture series. Lectures will be held each Thursday night from 7 – 9 pm. Lecture topics include:

  • March 15th: The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter
  • March 22nd: How the Wright Brothers Changed Travel
  • March 29th: Deforestation, Global Warming, and the Depletion of Natural Resources: What it All Means for Endangered Species and Habitats
  • April 6th: Great Female Scientists

Additional topics will be announced as lecturers are confirmed. Please continue to check our Web site for further information.
